![]() Otherwise you won't have enough time to finish and you'll need to start over. You need to be sure you have a minimum of an hour to play - probably two on higher difficulties. Since basically half the XP you get is from clearing the map rather than the individual fights, closing the game then cost me another hour worth of game play to get the experience I missed. This would be fine if you were told that so you can make a decision from there. If I had just played another 10 minutes, I would've gotten the huge chunk of XP I missed out on by assuming the game would save. Once I had to leave while I was fighting the boss on a map, expecting it would save where I was and let me pick back up. I understand the concept, but this isn't made known to you. You can stop at any time, and if you do you're required to start over. But respeccing costs gold, and I wouldn't say it's a small amount.Ģ) There is no save. You're best off just stacking passives in the early trees until you get to Level 13 or so, then respec to reach the end of a tree. I'm stopping myself from playing constantly because I know that I need to put in 5 more hours of gameplay just to change my character about 10%. Pairing this with the fact that skills deeper in the tree cost 2 or 3 skill points, unless you spend gold to respec later, you will likely need to stockpile skill points for the next 5-10 maps just to get the 3 levels you need to put in that last skill. I'm fine with the grind slowing down at 20+, but it takes too long to even reach the end of a skill tree, and likely 100 hours just to start considering a multi-tree build. I saw other comments saying they're around ~150 hours and still didn't hit max level. This means about 1-1.5 hours of play per 1 character level by level 8-9 (out of 30, supposedly). I've only gotten to Act 2 and it usually takes 2 entire maps to get a single level. However, there are a few pretty severe 'issues' that make me put this as a negative recommendation - despite liking it.ġ) The leveling is really slow. The game is fun and there's a lot to enjoy with the freedom to diversify your class/skills as you'd like. Stolen Realm Game Review by Half-Eaten Toilet Baby
